The study of art of sound creation and reproduction using hardware and software systems. Focused on the principles of sound synthesis, sampling and advanced knowledge of modules (oscillators, filters, envelope generators, etc.) used in modular sound production systems. You learn the analog and digital signal flow and routing, connections, using control surfaces, DAW operation, sequencing and audio recording, digital signal processing, algorithmic composition, audio mixing and mastering. The emulation of the contemporary styles through complete production of more than 60 different pieces of music boosts the skills of a composer/electronic musician/music producer as a synthesist and orchestrator and helps composing original material. You understand the core concepts in computer music, digital signal process, the techniques of digital sound synthesis and develop creative methods for algorithmic and interactive computer music composition. Lectures also cover the philosophical ideas in sound art and the reasons that drive the development of computer music techniques in its artistic context?
